Writing a will is the perfect time to think about organ and tissue donation. If, after talking to your notary on your own volition, you consent to donate your organs and tissues - or not - it can be recorded in your will. This consent, or lack thereof, will then be noted in the Organ and Tissue Donor Registry of la Chambre des notaires du Québec. Thanks to this registry, authorized medical personnel will be able to verify, in total confidence, whether a potential donor has consented to donate organs and tissues.
